Todd Reaches Consolation Final to Cap Squash Teams - Cornell ...

HARTFORD, Conn. ? Sophomore Ryan Todd's run at the College Squash Association Invididual Championships came to a close Sunday after he advanced to the finals of the Molloy Division second-round consolation draw Sunday.

Todd started the day with a 5-11, 11-6, 12-10, 11-5 victory over St. Lawrence's Kyle Ogilvy to advance to the finals of the consolation bracket in the Men's B Draw. There, he met Trinity's Zeyad Elshorfy, who was seeded fourth in the overall bracket. The Bantams' competitor then rallied to defeat Todd, 7-11, 11-6, 15-13, 11-4.

In all, Cornell had five women's and four men's competitors at the national individual championships ? though all of the other Big Red competitors wrapped up play Saturday. Senior Nick Sachvie and sophomore Danielle Letourneau both advanced to the quarterfinals of their respective main draws. The Cornell women finished sixth in this year's Howe Cup, while the men's team took eighth place in the Potter Cup.
