President Obama?s acceptance speech may be moving indoors tonight, but the Republican Party is going to rain on the event by celebrating the one-year anniversary of the bankruptcy of Fremont green energy firm Solyndra. As we predicted last year, the closing has been political gold for the GOP.
?President Obama talks a lot about being a new kind of president but his Solyndra scandal is proof-positive that he?s just a typical politician,? said GOP Chair Reince Priebus. ?Our country deserves a president who will be a steward of the country?s treasury, not a free spending liberal who puts his political cronies over the taxpayers.?
The GOP is launching a online ad Thursday morning and a timeline of how the mess unfolded, complete with interactive links to various embarrassing e-mails.
