Qualys?(News ? Alert), a provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) IT security risk and compliance management solutions, has significantly expanded its QualysGuard security-as-a-service platform that hosts Qualys? IT security and compliance SaaS?(News ? Alert) suite of applications in the cloud.
Featuring a security-as-a-service platform and a context- and role-based user interface (UI), the solution delivers powerful services including vulnerability management (VM), policy compliance (PC), PCI?(News ? Alert) compliance, Web application scanning (WAS) and malware detection.
Over the past few years, QualysGuard has evolved from a VM solution to an integrated suite of security and compliance offerings delivered via the cloud. The new Qualys will include new features like interactive dashboards and new capabilities, making it easier than ever for companies to protect IT assets and data from possible security threats.
The new VM and PC dashboard views provide interactive at-a-glance views of customer?s security and compliance postures. PC now provides the ability to share and create policies using simple XML files, enabling easier collaboration on GRC efforts.

QualysGuard now includes Patch Report that provides actionable information for administrators to remediate vulnerabilities. With Oracle?(News ? Alert) Patch (OPatch) Detections, the solution enables Oracle users to apply and roll back patches for Oracle software.

The announcement was made at Qualys Security Conference (QSC) 2011. At the event Qualys engineers also showcased significant expansions for the QualysGuard security-as-a-service platform as part of the 2012 roadmap.
Scheduled to be available in beta by Q4 2011, these expansions include Amazon EC2 Virtual Scanner, New Asset Module with Tagging, New Questionnaire and Workflow Module and Enterprise Malware Detection Capabilities.?
?QualysGuard is sold as annual subscriptions based on the number of systems and applications, and it includes training, all updates and 24?7 support.
Recently Qualys announced a partnership with Modulo, a leading provider of IT governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions, to launch QualysGuard VM integration with Modulo Risk Manager, providing customers a completely integrated, holistic view of IT risks correlated to vulnerabilities of their IT environments.
